Pfc. David A. Kirkpatrick, 20, of Upland, Indiana, died April 27, 2007, in Fallujah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations. Kirkpatrick was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.
