Chief Warrant Officer Kenneth R. White, 35, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died June 5, 2011, in Khost province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered as the result of a helicopter crash. Chief Warrant Officer White was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York.

Brandon M. Kirton

Spc. Brandon M. Kirton, 25, of Centennial, Colorado, died May 18, 2011, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire and mortar rounds. Spc. Kirton was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

On May 20, 2011, Spc. Kirton was posthumously promoted to corporal.

Vorasack T. Xaysana

Sgt. Vorasack T. Xaysana, 30, of Westminster, Colorado, died April 10, 2011, in Kirkuk, Iraq, of injuries sustained April 9 in a non-combat related incident. Sgt. Xaysana was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, Fort Hood, Texas.

Justin E. Culbreth

Culbreth, 26, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died November 17, 2010, at Panjway district, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. Spc. Culbreth was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

UPDATE: On November 22, 2010, Spc. Culbreth was posthumously promoted to sergeant.

Lance Cpl. Brandon W. Pearson, 21, of Arvada, Colorado, died November 4, 2010, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Lance Cpl. Pearson was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Faith R. Hinkley
