Staff Sgt. Ari R. Cullers, 28, of New London, Connecticut, died October 30, 2011, in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when an insurgent rocket-propelled grenade exploded near him. Staff Sgt. Cullers was assigned to the 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York.

Special Warfare Operator Chief Petty Officer (SEAL) Brian R. Bill, 31, of Stamford, Connecticut, died August 6, 2011, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed. Chief Petty Officer Bill was assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit.

Eric D. Soufrine

Pfc. Eric D. Soufrine, 20, of Woodbridge, Connecticut, died June 14, 2011, in Farah province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. Pfc. Soufrine was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Richard C. Emmons III

Spc. Richard C. Emmons III, 22, of North Granby, Connecticut, died May 31, 2011, in Logar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with a rocket propelled grenade. Spc. Emmons was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Raymond G. Estelle II

Maj. Raymond G. Estelle II, 40, of New Haven, Connecticut, died April 27, 2011, at the Kabul International Airport, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from gunfire. Maj. Estelle was assigned to Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Frank E. Adamski III

Staff Sgt. Frank E. Adamski III, 26, of Moosup, Connecticut, died March 29, 2011, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire in Konar province, Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Adamski was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Dae Han Park

Sgt. 1st Class Dae Han Park, 36, of Watertown, Connecticut died March 12, 2011, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Sgt. 1st Class Park was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

David R. Fahey, Jr.

Pfc. David R. Fahey, Jr., 23, of Norwalk, Connecticut, died February 28, 2011, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. Pfc. Fahey was assigned to the 504th Military Police Battalion, 42nd Military Police Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

On March 2, 2011, Pfc. Fahey was posthumously promoted to specialist.

Gebrah P. Noonan

Pfc. Gebrah P. Noonan, 26, of Watertown, Connecticut, died September 24, 2010, in Fallujah, Iraq, of injuries sustained September 23 in a non-combat incident. Pfc. Noonan was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Steven J. Deluzio

Sgt. Steven J. Deluzio, 25, of South Glastonbury, Connecticut, died August 22, 2010, at Paktika, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms and rocket propelled grenade fire. Sgt. Deluzio was assigned to the 172nd Infantry, 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Jericho, Vermont.

Edwin Rivera

Sgt. Edwin Rivera, 28, of Waterford, Connecticut, died May 25, 2010, at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland, of wounds sustained May 20, 2010, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using indirect fire at Contingency Outpost Xio Haq, Afghanistan. Sgt. Rivera was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 102nd Infantry, Norwalk, Connecticut.

Tyler O. Griffin

Lance Cpl. Tyler O. Griffin, 19, of Voluntown, Connecticut, died April 1, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Lance Cpl. Griffin was assigned to 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Ronald J. Spino

Staff Sgt. Ronald J. Spino, 45, of Waterbury, Connecticut, died December 29, 2009 in Bala Morghab, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he was shot while unloading supplies. Staff Sgt. Spino was assigned to the 274th Forward Surgical Team, 44th Medical Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Cpl. Christian S. Cotner, 20, of Waterbury, Connecticut, died May 30, 2008, from a non-hostile incident in Al Anbar province, Iraq. Cotner was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.

Jason M. Lantieri

Sgt. Jason M. Lantieri, 25, of Killingworth, Connecticut, died October 10, 2007, in Iskandaryah, Iraq, of injuries suffered during a vehicle accident October 9. Lantieri was assigned to the 725th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska.

Jason Dale Lewis

Petty Officer First Class Jason Dale Lewis, 30, of Brookfield, Connecticut, died July 6, 2007, as a result of enemy action while conducting combat operations in the vicinity of Baghdad, Iraq. Lewis was assigned to an East Coast-based SEAL team.

Pfc. Andre Craig, Jr., 24, of New Haven, Connecticut, died June 25, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device. Craig was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Keith N. Heidtman

1st Lt. Keith N. Heidtman, 24, of Norwich, Connecticut, died May 28, 2007, in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his OH-58D Kiowa helicopter crashed after receiving heavy enemy fire during combat operations. Heidtman was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
