Washington, DCSgt. William J. Cahir, 40, of Washington, DC, died August 13, 2009, while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Sgt. Cahir was assigned to 4th Civil Affairs Group, Marine Forces Reserve, based out of Washington DC.

Keisha M. Morgan

Washington, DCSpc. Keisha M. Morgan, 25, of Washington, D.C., died February 22, 2008, in Baghdad, Iraq, of a non-combat related cause. Morgan was assigned to the Division Special Troops Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Randy L. Johnson

Washington, DCSgt. 1st Class Randy L. Johnson, 34, of Washington, D.C., died September 27, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Johnson was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.

Darrell C. Lewis

Washington, DCCapt. Darrell C. Lewis, 31, of Washington, D.C., died June 23, 2007, in Vashir City, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when his unit was attacked by insurgents using rocket propelled grenades, mortars and small arms fire. Lewis was assigned to the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Kevin M. Shea

Washington, DCMaj. Kevin M. Shea, 38, of Washington, D.C., died September 14, 2004, due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Paul W. Kimbrough

Washington, DCLt. Col. Paul W. Kimbrough, 44, of Washington, D.C., died on October 3, 2003, in Incirlik, Turkey, of a non-combat related cause. Kimbrough was medically evacuated from Baghram, Afghanistan, to Turkey. He was taken to the 39th Medical Squadron where he remained hospitalized until his death. Kimbrough was assigned to the 416th Engineer Command, Team 28, U.S. Army Reserve, Fort Benning, Georgia.

Darryl T. Dent

Washington, DCSpc. Darryl T. Dent, 21, of Washington, D.C., was killed on August 26, 2003, in Southeast Arimadi, Iraq, when an improvixed explosive device struck his convoy vehicle. Dent was assigned to the 547th Transportation Company, U.S. Army National Guard, based in Washington, D.C.

Gregory E. MacDonald

Washington, DCLance Cpl. Gregory E. MacDonald, 29, of Washington, D.C., was killed on June 25, 2003, in Iraq, when the light armored vehicle he was traveling in rolled over. MacDonald was assigned to Bravo Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Frederick, Maryland.
