Staff Sgt. Solomon T. Sam, 26, of Majuro, Marshall Islands, died from wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device December 4, 2008, in Mosul, Iraq. Staff Sgt. Sam was assigned to the 523rd Engineer Company, 84th Engineer Battalion, 130th Engineer Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
