NebraskaSgt. Joshua J. Robinson, 29, of Omaha, Nebraska, died August 7, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Sgt. Robinson was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Patrick D. Hamburger

NebraskaSgt. Patrick D. Hamburger, 30, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died August 6, 2011, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed. Sgt. Hamburger was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment (General Support Aviation Battalion), Grand Island, Nebraska.

John Douangdara

NebraskaMaster-at-Arms Petty Officer 1st Class (Expeditionary Warfare Specialist) John Douangdara, 26, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, died August 6, 2011, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed. Petty Officer 1st Class Douangdara was assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit.

Micah Aaron Hill

NebraskaPetty Officer 3rd Class Micah Aaron Hill, 27, of Ralston, Nebraska, died April 19, 2011, as a result of a non-combat related incident. Petty Officer 3rd Class Hill was assigned as machinist’s mate to the USS Enterprise, which is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting operations in support of Operation New Dawn.

Noziska, 24, of Papillon, Nebraska, died August 30, 2010, in Malajat, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. 1st Lt. Noziska was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Edwin C. Wood

NebraskaSpc. Edwin C. Wood, 18, of Omaha, Nebraska, died July 5, 2010, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. Spc. Wood was assigned to 1st Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York.

Blaine E. Redding

Redding, 22, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device on June 7, 2010, in Konar, Afghanistan. Spc. Redding was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Michael R. Jarrett

NebraskaPfc. Michael R. Jarrett, 20, of North Platte, Nebraska, died January 6, 2010, in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. Pfc. Jarrett was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, Illesheim, Germany.

Jeffrey J. Garber

NebraskaCommand Master Chief Petty Officer Jeffrey J. Garber, 43, of Hemingford, Nebraska, died of non-hostile causes June 20, 2009, aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the North Arabian Sea. Command Master Chief Petty Officer Garber was supporting maritime security operations in the Fifth Fleet area of responsibility.

Justin J. Duffy

NebraskaSgt. Justin J. Duffy, 31, of Cozad, Nebraska, died June 2, 2009, in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Sgt. Duffy was assigned the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Robert J. Yllescas

Yllescas, 31, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died December 1, 2008, at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, of wounds suffered October 28 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit at Combat Outpost Keating, Afghanistan. Capt. Yllescas was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
