Nuanes was assigned to 741st Ordnance Company, Fort Bliss, Texas, part of the 84th Ordnance Battalion, 71st Ordnance Group.

New MexicoPfc. Antonio G. Stiggins, 25, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, died of wounds suffered April 22, 2011, in Numaniyah, Iraq, when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Pfc. Stiggins was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.

High was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Francisco J. Guardado-Ramirez

New MexicoPvt. Francisco J. Guardado-Ramirez, 21, of Sunland Park, New Mexico, died June 2, 2010, in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. Pvt. Guardado-Ramirez was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Zachary G. Lovejoy

Lovejoy, 20, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device February 2, 2010, in Zabul province, Afghanistan. They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Kenneth W. Westbrook

Westbrook, 41, of Shiprock, New Mexico, died October 7, 2009, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, of wounds suffered September 8 when insurgents attacked his unit in the Ganjigal Valley, Afghanistan, using small arms and indirect fire. Sgt. 1st Class Westbrook was assigned to the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Troy O. Tom

Sgt. Escobedo was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regiment in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Willett was assigned to 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Menelek M. Brown

New MexicoPetty Officer Second Class Menelek M. Brown, 24, of Roswell, New Mexico, was declared dead January 4, 2008, after apparently going overboard from USS Hopper in the Arabian Sea January 3. Navy aircraft and ships conducted an extensive search but did not locate him. USS Hopper is home ported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Thomas J. Casey

Casey, 32, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died January 3, 2008, in As Sadiyah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire during combat operations. Casey was assigned to the Military Transition Team, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.
