Errol M. James

Sgt. Errol M. James, 29, of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, died August 4, 2008, at Forward Operating Base Torkham, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained in a non-combat related incident. Sgt. James was assigned to the 527th Military Police Company, 709th Military Police Battalion, Grafenwoehr, Germany.

Gregory Rivera-Santiago

Staff Sgt. Gregory Rivera-Santiago, 26, of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, died September 10, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered from a non-combat related vehicle rollover. Staff Sgt. Rivera-Santiago was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Floyd E. Lake

Staff Sgt. Floyd E. Lake, 43, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, died in Baghdad, Iraq, on January 20, 2007, in the crash of a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. Staff Sgt. Lake was assigned to the Virgin Islands Army National Guard, Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands.

David C. Canegata

Lt. Col. David C. Canegata, 50, of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, died in Baghdad, Iraq, on January 20, 2007, in the crash of a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. Lt. Col. Canegata was assigned to the Virgin Islands Army National Guard, Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Jose E. Rosario

Spc. Jose E. Rosario, 20, of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, died in Balad, Iraq, on October 19, 2005, when his HMMWV was struck by enemy indirect fire during patrol operations. Spc. Rosario was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Jason N. Lynch

Pfc. Jason N. Lynch, 21, of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, died June 18, 2004, in Buhriz, Iraq, of small arms fire wounds he received as his unit was engaging the enemy. Pfc. Lynch was assigned to the Army’s 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery, 1st Infantry Division, Bamberg, Germany.

Kendall Thomas

Staff Sgt. Kendall Thomas, 36, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, died April 28, 2004, in Baghdad, Iraq, as the result of a vehicle accident. Staff Sgt. Thomas was assigned to Battery C, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
